80 tdi 1993 throttle problem

hi all new to site and hope some one can help , have a 1993 80 1.9tdi that sometimes has no throttle response as if cable snapped but its fly by wire! dip clutch ( only apparent when driving)when driving allow to idle engine hiccups then throttle returns to normal.old girl has done 230000 miles and would like to keep her goingdone usual f,filter change checked vac pipes all on etc .
any help/ideas welcome..

still struggling with this prob,found some one else had similar prob and they replaced throttle actuator unit ( hidden in the pedal box!) found a new one on ebay ,have replaced but problem still there .........

Any other ideas ????????

have seen reference to a blue/white speed sensor wire that is cut and cures some running problems,the question is where is it???
