£30 for Rolling road power runs only

We are now able to Map the 1.4tsi, 1.8Tfsi and 143hp 2.0Tdi, but due to costings these may cost slightly more.

Hi mate,

I came to your last RR/remap day on the 28th of Feb in my Black Audi A4 1.8T, the one that was losing crankcase pressure due to the broken dipstick......

Can I come along for a dyno run only so I can see what its putting out now I've replaced the dipstick??

can you map a hybrid k04 turbo from Turbo Dynamics

MD421 Modified compressor housing inlet, C.N.C re-profiled compressor cover for high flow
compressor, 2283 Spec “Billet Aluminium” Lightweight Compressor Wheel. modified
seal plate, 360 degree thrust bearing, K04 Large trim left hand thread turbine wheel with
lightening of turbine wheel for faster ‘spool up’, C.N.C. modified turbine housing for
higher flow, up-rated twin turbine seals, 0.8 Bar up-rated actuator. Other ‘blueprinting’
modifications. APPROX 340-360 BHP Max recommended boost pressure 24-26 PSI.

how does it sound and what realistic power should i expect im using a tubular manifold and 3 ince downpipe?

This could be done, but due to the amount of modifications I would suggest going for a live map to get the best from this.

I'm a mobile tuner, so don't have the facilities to help you with this one. See this kind of setup make 350hp though. As for a price I can't help you out with this. Your best bet is to call Chipped UK and book yourself in for a live map, Paramount Performance might be an easier one as they are only in Slough.

if its anything like the last one it will be fantastic. after waiting 3 hours for a remap on a standard 97 1.8t which was booked in a couple of months before, they came out with the excuse that it was a really rare chip in the ecu which had been deleted! it couldn't have had anything to do with all the cars that turned up in the afternoon which were not booked in but just needed flashing from the diagnostic port could it? no chance, i'm just being cynical obviously.

it was ok though because they sorted me out with another chip'n'spin mobile dealer, he was the best in the business on old sheds apparently. he soldered the wrong chip in the next day (must be because they are so rare and have been deleted).

after i said that the car wasn't running right to the mobile tuner and gave him the vag com errors, he came back the next day and told me to bring the old chip with me, because he needed the software from it, to modify it and make it better (yes i know it's all bs). in reality he needed the old chip to solder it back into my ecu, or at best copy the code from my original chip and flash it to a new one, and then solder that in.

so the short version is that i am £250 down, and the car is exactly the same as when i foolishly thought that going to these clowns might be a good idea.

This is the first I've heard of this! You have not contacted myself about this problem. Firstly he's not one of my dealers, he's a Chipped UK dealer like myself and I know is work is good, secondly it's not the ECU that has been deleted/discontinued it's the Chip the goes insode the ECU. If you'd have contacted muself or Chipped UK we would have sorted this issue out for you. But you didn't and just choose to leave negative commets. Like I said we would have sort you out one way or another if you'd had let me know.

Hi,

I'm after a remap and interested in what sort of gains I'll get on a 2000 A3 Sport 1.8T (has throttle cable).

Bromsgrove isnt far from me and the timings right so I'm in if it all sounds OK. Cars stock engine wise apart from a 007 and a green cotton panel filter so it should be 150bhp at the moment.

Just to confirm...£250 with a run pre-remap and then a run after to see whats what?.

How will it compare driving it afterwards, is it more mid range grunt etc?

Hi Tom.

Yes it's £250 all in, gains are 45hp and 70nm. You'll have more mid range grunt and more power through out the whole rev range.

Do you see? This is how they treat you after they have got your hard earned cash, and made a mess of doing the job they reckoned was "no problem". I think this reply to my earlier post sums up perfectly all you will ever need to know about these people.

Hi Adam,

Generally these are not an issue, gains are around 40hp and 80nm Max as any more the DPF will get blocked.

Thanks for the reply. I will be giving the re-map a miss as I am looking for a 100% reliable re-map due to the documented DPF problems. Not sure the "generally" comment gives me the piece of mind I am after as it suggests that you do still have issues and I live to far away to be running back and fore.

These are issues everyone can have, it's only ever a problem if there is an existing problem on the car. But that is the same with any remap the 170 is no different in that respect. We've never had a problem mapping one of these cars as long as there are no issues with the DPF etc. It works 100%. If you change your mind let me know.

Sounds interesting, my engine is an AGU 150bhp could you tell me what the boost will increase to? Just doing some research on different chipping companys and how they make the most of the little ko3 fitted to these engines,

Standard is 8psi and mapped we push the KO3 to 16psi.

The green spring should be fine as we don't boost the KO3 that high, but if you want a stonnger map you may need to go for the yellow spring.

See how it is to start with and you can always order one if required.

This shouldn;t be a problem.

Gains are 40hp and 70nm on these.

We start at 8am and it works ona first come first served basis. The day ends when the last car is mapped.

Price for yours will be £250 all in. I'm assuming it's not a brand new A3?
