We can map out the EGR, but i believe it is Illegal to drive a car round with it disbled. It's a grey aree, bit like enabling a TV ina car, not illegal to do it, but ilegal to watch whilst driving.

    Thanks, Mark

Cheers for the info, what sort of increases are usual for a 2.0 tdi140 with the different maps, and will the clutch need uprating for any of them.

    Economy, 28hp, 65Nm, +5mpg
Fast Road, 40hp, 95Nm, equal economy
    Race, 46hp, 110Nm, -3mpg

A standard clutch in good condition will handle all these fine.

    Thanks, Mark

does this really not work for the 2000 a4 1.8t quattro sport? (180 bhp) if not can you still do a normal remap? what would the gains be for an eco, or fast road map? cheers.

Ufortunately not, as the non DBW models done have a K-line, so there is not way of reading and writing to the ECU via OBD. Gains on these are around 40hp and 80nm.

    Thanks, Mark

Hi i have a Audi 1.8t quattro 2001 51 with 96k on the clock, full audi s/h, what kind of power gains can be expected for the st3, and will the fuel consumption be any better ? also will it be safe on a car with this mileage ?

This will be fine as long as the car is mechanically sound.

    Eco - 30hp 60nm +3mpg(Depending on how you drive)
Fast road - 40-45hp 75nm (Equal MPG - Some customers reported and improvement)
    Race - 55hp 90nm

    Thanks, Mark

Guys - just downloaded my standard map and emailed ChippedUK for Eco and Race maps.

One point, to read your ecu make sure everything is switched off (except ignition) otherwise you'll get a read error - I'd got the radio and climate on, process took about 10 mins.

I'll let you know how I get on with the new maps.

    Cheers Chris

You'll feel it straight away, but it will get stronger as you drive it.

Excellent, I look forward to hearing what you think.

I'll give Chipped UK a nudge for you, get you those files back nice and quick.

    hmmmm, something to think about....

if we buy one of these boxes and then change the car later on, can it be used on a different car if we order another map?

I've just installed the ST3 on the computer and I'm doing the linking thing.
Theres 2 versions for my car.

    2000 TDI 140BHP EDC16U

    And

    2000 TDI 140BHP EDC16U34-3.1

    Which one do I choose?

Edit: It's okay now, I just rang Chipped UK and they said both will work, but try the first option first. They were very helpful!

You could plug the ST3 into your diag port on the car - one of the options is identify ecu, that might give you a clue.

So far so good. I'm running the Eco map at the moment and also purchased the Race version.

On first impressions the car is quicker and nicer to drive, the mpg is unaffected but I've been discussing with Mark and I probably need to give it a few hundred miles to settle down and for me to stop "enjoying" the extra power!

Good system, easy to use - just make sure nothing else is drawing power when you connect the ST3 (radio, bluetooth etc) takes 5 or 6 mins to upload a different map and on my A4 it ran the electric cooling fan the whole time.

    Cheers Chris

This is the Case with all of the cars, if you're not sure use the first one, if it wont read try the second. You will not do any damage with the ST3 Trying to read with the wrong ECU, it just wont read.

If anyone has any issue always feel free to call me on 07756 190026 as I generally always avaialble on my mobile.

Just got my car srviced today and uploaded the ECO Map. Haven't noticed much of a difference yet. But maybe that's because I've only done about 20 miles in it.

I got the Eco and the Race map.

It's starting to notice the power a bit more now, especially uphills and I can be lighter with the throttle and still make good progress. But I can't really say much as I haven't been over 40mph in it lol. Need to take it out of the city!

I'm interested, but need to check finances before I commit to anything. Are there any left in this offer?

Edit: Your website states a 12 month warranty, but your original post states 2 years. Could I just confirm which it is please?

    Thanks

I've done over 1000 miles with the Eco map now and haven't had any problems with it. However, does the remap change the mpg on the DIS so it is more accurate?

No this is not touched by the map. You should always go on how many miles per tank as the DIS is never 100% accurate.
