As per title. i want to upgrade my current speakers and i have been quoted £170 fitted. Im sure its a job i can do i just dont like pulling off door cards. Do the grills pop off on the door cards fopr access to the speaker?

No the door card has to come off and you will need spacer rings as the stock speakers sit off the inner door skin by 40mm. Door card removal involves unclipping the door trim removing the screws behind it and the bottom screw, then with a bit of brute force unclip the door card and lift off, then unhook the door release and unplug the wiring loom. You will need a few extra pop fasteners as they are designed to break on removal:
