Compatible stereos with 1998 A3?

I have recently got an old style 1998 a3, which has an aftermarket stereo.

I want to replace it with an audi single din unit that has cd-playback.

Can anyone let me know what stereo options there are?

Think all the Concert II head units need CANBUS otherwise they switch off after an hour and your A3 is not CANBUS.
Better option would be a Becker GP as it looks stock, uses the same wiring as Audi and will also play mp3 CD's. Failing that you'll need a Concert 1 tape player and a CD changer

Thanks Andy. After a bit of research, I think i can get a canbus simulator for £60 and pipe the Concert II through that?
