Intermittent Radio Signal - 2005 A4 Cab - Please Help !

Hello

My radio signal keeps dropping out at random times

The aerial is fitted to the car internally somewhere and I do not know where it is

Anybody able to suggest where the aerial is so I can have a check for any loose wires etc ???

Usually this is because the antenna wires travels through the boot lid hinge to the antenna module in the boot lid. So over time they weaken and break.

You need to have someone scan the car for faults with VCDS (VAG COM) and see if there are any faults shown.

as above, put radio on so you can hear it from the rear of the car, open the boot, have a play about with the left rubber boot, youll hear the radio come and go with your movements, the ariel will deffo be kinked/damaged, i pulled back the rubber and found the kink and cut it out and rejoined it, never been a problem since
