Connect ipod to Concert I stereo question

Hello , I have an 2001 Audi S3 (8L model) and I am looking to connect my ipod to the existing Audi Concert I stereo (the one with the tape deck!!!). In addition, I have a cd changer in the boot and I dont want to lose the functionality of it.

Has anybody used an Xcarlink product to connect their ipod to the Concert I stereo?

It's expensive compared to other solutions but I dont mind the price if sound quality is not sacrificed. Any opinions if this is the most suitable product available?

Most people are using Dension kit at the mo!!

I use to run a dension 500 in my A3 before i fitted an RNS-E then I got an Alpine KCE-425i.

I suggest going with the 500!!
