On a b5 fitting a HU question

Does anyone know which wire is the ignition wire on a 96 a4? (to turn off the stereo completely when ignition off)

Ive fitted a stereo which didnt come with a wiring plug so cut the audi loom and connected them up seperately- but cant work out which is the ignition wire so the stereo draws power all the time unless i remove the fuse from the fusebox which is a real pain.

any advice?

If you still have the Audi ISO plug that you cut off, you should be able to see how it is wired. The ignition on live is the 3 along from the ground (thick brown) wire.

Will try both ideas- im pretty sure I left the iso plug in the HU bix so will try to find it.
