I've installed the phatbox into my boot space.
Everything is fine and working properly.
I'd like to mount some sort of protective cover over the unit to protect it from damage etc.
Has anyone any suggestions as to what I could use ? (carper or car mat)
I'd need something about 18'' by 12'' I think.
Thanks for any suggestions : )

Be careful about covering, you don't want the unit overheating.

it would just be a fairly loose covering, open at sides
just wanted something to cover the unit and give mild protection from damage
i'm thinking velcro and grey material of some sort,i'll keep thinking
Thanks for suggestions :)

the phatbox aluminium case is not a heatsink - its fake.

the electronics inside couldnt keep a mosquito warm let alone overheat so cover it with anything you think looks ok.

not sure why thoug? its in a thick aluminium case so unlikely to get damaged apart from scratches (unless you have taken it out of its case altogether?)

Yup, mines been in the boot in this and my old car with all sorts of junk in the past and has never had any issues, to save it floating around in the boot i've just cable tied it to one of the buckles in the corners designed for the cargo net...

How high did you mount the unit?

Just get a cargo net. That's what I did, now nothing moves around in the boot.
