hi ive got a 55reg a3 first thing what came up phone then says safe now and thats it any ideas thanks

You need to enter the security code, 4 digit code on the inside cover of the radio manual. If you don't have it then only a dealer can retrieve it for you.

No, you need to hold in the two entry keys to get the code input screen, which shows "1000" on the display, you then use the numbers 1 to 4 to enter the code i.e. if the code is 9876, then you press the "1" key 9 times to get 9, then the 2 key 8 times, the 3 key 7 times and the 4 key 6 times. You then press and hold the two entry keys again until the radio comes on. The process is clearly detailed in the radio manual. The two keys you need to hold in depends on the type of HU i.e. Concert/Symphony etc
