Hello, can anyone shed a bit of light on this? I bought a Xcar link ipod adaptor for my last audi which worked by piggy backing onto the CD changer. Ipod was selected by pressing CDC twice as far as i can remember. I am in the proccess of fitting it to my new audi which has the 6 disc changer within the head unit......hence no CDC button. Can the head unit recognise a external changer?

cheers

ok, but how can i get it to work, there is no CDC button?

You just press the CD button. You then cycle round the 6 inbuilt Cd's then it accesses the 6 virtual CD's in the iPOD

Thanks Andy, worked as you said. It would of helped if the earth wire had not been broken though. As soon as I joined it off it went, but a bit of a hissing noise through it now that I don't remember/notice before. Taped up the additional jack plug but its still there, livable but annoying. Volume not as good as CD but my classic packed in the other day and onto the nano which is quieter anyway, or are any of the above an xcarlink problem.

Cheers
