CD Error

Hi

Was using the 6 CD changer in the boot yesterday as normal, then had a phone call, so turned the stereo off, when I put it back on, it just kept coming up 'CD ERROR'.

I turned the stereo off and back on again and removed and re entered the cartridge, even changed the discs around, but its still the same.

Its all standard equipment and has been working fine up until yesterday.

The car is an 8L 2002 S3 and i believe the headunit is a Audi Concert II single disc.

Any help, ideas or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd run a CD lens cleaner through it before you try anything else. They get pretty grubby being in the boot. I presume it's the same with either pressed CD's or ones you've burned yourself?

Hey mate, yea its the same with both original and 'backup' copies ;-)

How would it stop working all of a sudden though, literally in a matter of seconds??
