Need to take it out, any1 know how... do u need keys 4 it?

any info would be handy

cheers

Yes. You need keys (4 if it's a Symphony Double Din). Best to get genuine Audi ones, as the cheapy ebay ones bend too easily.

Also, don't pull it out with the keys, as this will damage the clips.

Remove the glove box, put in the keys then push out the HU from the rear.

Cheers,

As a semi-side issue: I'm pretty sure the head unit is the same wether it's regular / Bose.... the "Bose" part is the speakers (with separate amp and sub), if you just replace the head unit, you'll keep everythign that is Bose.... I replaced my Symphony with a RNS-E and still ahve the Bose amp and speakers...

edit: the bit I am NOT sure about is wether the Audio pilot (accoustic momnitoring) mic is wired back into the head unit or the Bose amp - I think it's the latter though as I think it's only the Bose that has the cabin audio monitoring kit.
