I am about to fit a sub to a custom made enclosure, and was wondering what people's thoughts are on fitting acoustic wadding material to the insides of the box?
I heard that putting wadding in has the affect of making the box appear larger to the speaker. But at the same time can weaken the "punch" of the speaker.
I have an Alpine Type R 10" sub, which has a recommended sealed enclosure volume of between 0.5 - 0.8 cu ft.
My custom enclosure is sealed, with a volume of 0.6 cu ft.
