A4 B5 Direct replacements?

I get the feeling this may have been asked before, and yes I have searched. :readit:

I want to keep the door cards and interior completely stock looking on my A4 98 B5 saloon.
Question: What size speakers and any recommendations for all four doors and rear shelf speakers without cutting trims or metal!
I'm running an aftermarket kenwood and plan to run a 12" sub in a seperate boot enclousure.

The stock components for the front doors are 4" mids and 1" tweeters. The only direct replacements are Pioneer custom fit units designed specifically for the B5 A4. They're discontinued but still come up on ebay occasionally. You can fit other speakers up to 5.25", but will need fitting adapters and they need to be slim units as you only have 55mm depth to play with. I fitted Rainbow 230slx's but there are others, just be wary of the depth.
Wouldn't bother with the rears TBH. They're 6.5" coxials but again you need fitting adapters.
