    A3 front speaker adaptors

I'm having problems finding the right speaker adaptor rings for the front (8L). i've come across a few by different manufacturers. They're all 130mm but some say that they fit the 3 door version and nothing about the 5 door (which is what i'm after) or will the same rings fit both the 3 and 5 door?

Also, do these adaptors come in MDF?

They are plastic, your better off making them yourself out of MDF

I'm pretty sure the door speakers in the front are the same size for both 3 and 5 door.

Would I be ok using any of the ones in the links as a template?

I'm thinking of using these as they seem to be the cheapest.

    Hi Jay

They are useful as templates, but not really robust enough to actually use on the door cards. If you PM me your email address I can send you the MDF templates I use to make my own. Bear in mind using MDF does encroach on the limited mounting depth you have in the front doors. The plastic ones will give you an extra 8-10mm, so depending on what speakers you're fitting you may have to use the plastic ones. Just be prepared to use some silicon sealant or hot glue around them as most of them don't seal properly against the door card properly and Dynamat as much as you can.
