Symphony Head unit stuck

Afternoon all

I am eagerly waiting to fit my ipod adapter to my head unit and i have removed the symphony head unit before, but this time it just wont come out.
I have 1 set of 'decent' keys and another set of the Halfords/Autoleads ones.

The proper set has 'clicked' in place and all is fine, BUT the top two simply wont engage and allow me to release the head unit, it pulls out about 1 or 2 mm, but thats it, nothing more.

Now by the sound of things the spring clips have become bent, what, if anything, can i do to remove it?

If this is something that would be better answered by PM, please do.

Drop the glovebox out and push it from behind while you have the removal keys engaged in the correct position.

Thanks Issac, can see a lot more now the glovebox is out the way, may have to dismantle the drivers side tomorrow to get to those clips, but for today, play called off due to bad light
