Simphony II problems

Hello all,

My simphony II gave me the CD1 error, and i've been told in the dealer that i should buy a new one, thinking in this i've decided to go to a in dash dvd screen, but don't know if it will fit properly, do you have any pictures to see how this will fit?

on the other side, my car has the BOSE sound system, should i be aware of something different with this or is it just like a regular stereo installation?

Well you have not told us what year car or model.

But with a symphony II the DVD navigation is pretty much a straight swap with some adaptors and a GPS receiver.

Oooops i forgot, i have a facelifted A3 8L.

Which model of RSN-E should i buy so its a plug and play mod?

OK, the A3 8L was never designed for the DVD Navigation, the A3 8P is a straight swap, you would have to modify an A4 unit to fit.

Also, can you get maps for your country?

i know there are some maps for my country, but i'm not sure,and can live without it. that's why i'm trying to read if the Audi sat Nav is capable of playing DVDs and MP3s in dvds discs.if not i'm looking into an aftermarket in dash dvd screen
