bluetooth gong

I've thought the same sometimes, but never been too worried about it.

It may be worth trying at www.navplus.us as they are really good on the RNS-E & Bluetooth stuff.

It is possible to turn the bong down but unfortunately doing this also means that all sound for the telephone will be reduced so you can't hear the conversation! Its a shame really as the bong isn't really provinding any useful information. It might be worth doing a search on www.navplus.us (as above) as I'm sure there have been posts regarding this exact problem and if anyone is going to find a solution it will be some on the very knowledgable people on that forum.
