Audi S3 8P Bose retrofit

Anyone done this? How does the Bose system compare to the standard system, is it really that much better?

Havent had a chance to listen to a Bose system yet, none of the cars available here had it fitted as option. I can get the part numbers etc from ETKA but just wanted to know if its something worthwhile investing.

Yeah, there is the option of fitting custom sound but wanted to know more about the Bose first

You're better off sourcing aftermarket parts, the Bose speakers are all wired to an external amp AFAIK so the wiring loom would be different.

Change the speakers to Focal/Rainbow/DLS and look at a decent amp.
Just adding a decent sub/amp will improve the sound.

if you do want to do BOSE retro-fit then its worth checking out our friends over on www.ebay.de as there is often loads of complete Bose setups for sale, some even with full wiring harnesses. If you are not sure what you are reading, I use Mozilla Firefox with the translator package installed.
