2007 A3 with Concert III

Hi - some advice if anyone has a spare 5mins.

I will be purhcasing a car with the above stereo system - no Bose.

The no Bose bit pains me, having had two previous A3s with the Bose system. However, my plans are to upgrade the system -

1) How far can I go with the Concert III stock unit - i'd like to improve the speakers and bass without havign to change the stock headunit to maintain the original look of the car.

2) Re. the above, I want to install an RNS-E system, how would this affect being able to upgrade the speakers and bass.

Please treat me with kid gloves I am a novice-!!

The Concert III has front and rear pre-outs so you can pretty much do anything you want. The only limitation is it only has an internal amp for the front speakers, and doesn't have a non fading sub pre-out, so no independent control of a sub.

i.e. "pre-outs"

Would I be able to replicate or surpass the clarity and bass of the Bose system and retain the Cocert III head unit?

Yes of course you can if you're aiming that low!
