    8 PIN CD CHANGER

    HI,

In my a3 the changer lead is the 8 pin adapter and im finding it hard to source a changer for fit it and if i do find one then it is really over pirced, is it worth me just changing the changer lead to the 13 pin and if so how hard is it to do and does anyone have any models numbers for a lead to match a panasonic CX-DP803EN, or is it just easier to keep the 8 pin lead and just keep an eye out for the changer

All A3's have the 13 pin lead (with only 10 actual pins), are you sure it's an 8 pin? 8 pin leads were only fitted to older B5 A4's. I guess if your A3 is a very early model it could be 8 pin. You can't just buy an adapter as the 2 types of changer aren't compatible. Keep your eye out on ebay, I sold my old 8 pin changer on there and it didn't go for silly money about £80 IIRC.
This one is particularly badly listed:
