Work Hard, Play harder!!
Guys i have some questions to ask. Today i took the HU out for the first time, to do some reasearch into the connections of the ISO. Below are some pictures.
I noticed some odd things:
1. There was a brown wiring cut in half, which was also connected to a black wire which didnt go anywhere into the HU. What could have this been?
2. Speaker wires were connected to FL, FR, +/-, but were taped of on the ends. I guess someone had wired new speaker wires, then removed them after.
3. Someone has also spliced the Earth and Ub+ (power?). Why? What could else could they have powered?
4. Is the yellow + white, and Green + white, for LR and RR represetivly?
If so why didnt they use the LF and RF as well from this block, instead of middle block?
EDIT: just notice that the green, and yellow only use one wire for each, no +ve or -ve. So what are they used for?
5. And what is the "com" and little "switch symbol" for? Is this the IGN? It also looks like this wire was once cut and spliced.
6. I had also noticed that there were 3 other wiring hanging inside coming from behinh glove box, red, yellow and brown. What do you think they were used for?
P.S i did notice that i have a GPS + tax disc in one. Anything to do with that?
I didn't strip much of the tape back as i didnt want to start making a mess. (Just yet )
Sorry for so many questions but its really had to find info on the net, and when i search the forum it throws up all sorts of info.
Also do you think i can make use of any other wires they maybe hidden in the car?
Thanks once again.
