Removal of concert stereo help

Right this is in relation to my other thread, how do I remove he stereo?

I went to halfords and tried 4 sets of tools and none would work. However none looked like the ones available on ebay either.

Is there a diy tool method or will I need the fancy tools?

No you definately need the right keys, use the wrong ones and you can easily knacker the spring clips that hold the HU in, then you'll need to prise off the whole of the front of the radio to get it out. Not recommended.

Ahh, might now be screwed due to halfords then.

Worth getting the right ones now then and trying my luck?

nahh go back to halfords and tell them what they have caused you to do! lol
after all if they had sold you the correct ones in the first place you would not potentially have to be destroying a £175 unit.

I bought mine from halfords..You need the VW ones and are 3.99
