Stereo unlocking code help

Guys,

I have a 98 a4 with the concert 2 stereo in it, the last owner did not have the code and I am now locked out as I changed the battery.

What is the fastest way to get it unlocked, I dont really want to give audi £20 to unlock it as it is an hour to my nearest dealer.
Any well known members/websites that can help ?

some stereo shops can hack the radios and get the code unlocked or reset but can sometimes cause damage to the software on the radio. have you got the Auz(14 digits) number off the side of the radio and the full chassis number,

Hi I am having trouble getting the stereo out, it it the type with the two slots at the bottom and I can not find my vagcom lead to do it that way.

you will probably find that the stereo has been previously removed with pattern tools which normally bends the tags too far so future removal is more difficult! if you cant remove it and cant get the code with vag com then no one can help you unfortunately. you MUST HAVE THE AUZ CODE
