Im pretty sure that 2gb cards work fine in the RNSE, but you must use decent makes, Sandisk etc

I currently have a 1Gb and a 512Mb in mine and they work fine. I have also been told that 2Gb work perfectly, but you should stick to quality brands as suggested.

I've heard 4Gb work, but for the cost, you're better off buying 2 x 2Gb.

I use 2 4GB SD cards and 1 2GB SD card.

The RNS-E has a limit of 512 files plus folders on each SD card, so unless you use a high bit rate (I use 320kbps) you will reach the limit of the number of files before the card is full. I get over 30 CDs per 4 GB SD card, so I have the equivalent of 75 CDs on 3 SD cards.

Some, mainly older, RNS-E were VERY fussy about the SD cards they would work with - I've tried both normal and high-speed cards. My first RNS-E (HW version 047) would only work with high-speed cards, but my current one (HW version 070) is happy with just about anything.
