Anyone know what cable does what?

I'm making my own ISO blcok so need to know what cable does what in this pic

Also anyone know what this brown thing connected to the aerial is? Do I need to give it some power?

(I have PM's Andymac about this post btw)

top pic looks like main power, battery backup power and possibly light switch (dims the stereo when you put car lights on)

I think the speakers are on a different block.

Cheers. I need to know exactly which cable is positive/negative etc. I think audi have them slightly differently to other manufacturers

Fat brown is earth
Fat red with white stripe is perm live
Yellow with red stripe is ignition on live
Bluish one is dimmer
Green stripe is GALA
White one next to it is K bus

Found out what GALA is so don't need that. What is K Bus and do I have to connect the brown wire attached to the aeriel anywhere? Thanks

K bus is a digital data link that can be used to control all sorts of electronics in the car. All it's used for on the OEM HU is to allow it to be turned on for an hour with the keys out.
The brown wire on the aerial just connects to the chassis of the HU
