Audy symphony "learn" display??????

I have searched Google and on here but not sure how to say it. I've got a b5 a4 with a symphony head unit. I've just plugged it in after a long time unused and it says safe. Ive down the normal trick and got to the code screen. Entered that and got the thing working again. Only problem is now I can't tune it in. The auto scan works but doesn't find any stations. So trying to use the right nob to manual tune and it just says "learn" on the screen. Cant see anything in the manual so thought I'd ask on here. Am I missing something?
