Just today bought a B7 A4 and in the armrest is a phone cradle for what I reckon is Nokia fitment. Am I right in thinking this can be removed and changed to another fitment?

My phone is an iPhone 5 so if I got one of the below cradles I'm guessing it would charge etc but would it also allow me to play music through the RNS-E? Or do I need an AMI module for that?

Thanks for the help.

You would need ami for music from the iphone with a lightning adapter or wireless streaming via ami with a wireless adapter.

We supply/fit the ami systems if interested.

Do a search as it probably has BT fitted already.

Yes that cradle appears to be compatible with your car.

Thanks NHN.

Yes the car has bluetooth and it seems to work fine with the iPhone 5 but no A2DP I noticed which I found strange cause the module I fitted to my MK5 Golf GTi supports A2DP.

So the cradle would only really serve two functions
- Charge the phone
- Hold/support the phone in place

I had hoped it would also allow me to play music from the phone :sorry:

By wireless do you mean Bluetooth receiver?

Yes you'd need a specific ami dongle & the ami itself, along with the mk2 rns-e to support ami in the 1st place.
