BOSE sub amp deletion/replacement?

I have an 53' S4 with RNS-E and Bose and I want to add a JL sub box & amp from a previous car, can I straight swap the Bose sub amp for my JL amp with ease or is the Bose sub amp integrated with the rear speakers too?

On the A3, amp runs speakers too.

Andy Mac is the guy to speak to, hes done a lot of work with the A3, offering up a nice upgrade etc. Not sure if he does anything for A4 though.

Ive completely done away with all factory Bose stuff, running my own amps, speakers and sub, and wiring. But not tried integrating any of it into factory head unit, or existing amp .

What's the best way to upgrade the Sub on this system. I want to use my RNS-E and keep it as OEM as possible?
