Planning to pull out the rear shelf on my 2010 A4 SE quattro and give it a good sorting, as it rattles like a bag of wasps at the moment. It's a non Bose Concert jobbie. Does anyone know what power the stock amp in the rear puts out and would it be enough to drive a JL 10WXv2-4 ?

No definately not - 1 x 50w (peak) is barely enough to drive a door speaker let alone a proper sub, you'd need to install a proper amp

Andy,

I have an 53' S4 with RNS-E and Bose and I want to add a JL sub box & amp from a previous car, can I straight swap the Bose sub amp for my JL amp with ease or is the Bose sub amp integrated with the rear speakers too?

Thanks Andy, very much. Will scrub that idea and put a proper amp on the project list.
Wow, 50W peak, didn't realise it was that pitiful. A wonder how it manages to drive the stock sub !
