A6 MMI unit good or bad? discuss

I have a MMI basic unit with a single CD slot why did Audi make such a thing so incompatible with almost everything else available. I want to be able to have at my fingertips more than one CD's worth of music, unless I fiddle around getting a CD out and shoving it in the disc reader, which is obviously dangerous when driving .

However that's impossible without spending hundreds of pounds on kit. It seems it's not a simple case of just attaching an I pod connector or USB connector or even a 6 disc changer from Audi.

Is there anything available for less than £100 that will work with this frustratingly awkward system arghhhh

Obviously it's only me that has this problem or no spare cash to spend on this

It's 55 reg with red mmi screen although it has lotsa button CD/TV/ NAV, Tel, Names etc
