Anyone with a Phatbox had (PC) software crashing continually?

DMS cartridge works fine in car, doesn't have any disk faults etc and is only 75% full.
My PC is WIn XP SP2, firewalled & a/virus'd.
Phatnoise software has been fine for ages, now just crashes if i so much as try and sort a playlist or add a new track onto it.
Can't pinpoint it to installing any new devices/software, so dont know if something else is clashing with it, but i can't do a thing with the damn thing.
tried rolling back to previous PMM versions, tried complete deinstall & reinstall, all to no avail.
anyone else had something similar happen?

yes I did have auto update "on".

I'll go hunt for regclean and give it a whirl, seems likely possible conflict in there somewhere.

well, i ran regclean and it detected and fixed 3 gremlins, but still no joy. Yes, i'm surprised re-install didn't sort it. reckon i have major conflicts going on within XP.
AVG is the anti-virus i use, so i'll take a look at Ad-aware SE.

your last sentence sounds a bit like my machine now, so we'll give it a whirl.
