What sort of power input from an H.U is required to drive the Bose speakers. My multichanger ha spacked in and thinking of getting an after market head unit....

Mainly for the SD slot plus the colour scheme would "blend" with the car. Do you think this would do the Bose justice?

All the Bose speakers are driven from the Bose amp, not the HU. You'll need an adapter to link into the amp harness, the speaker input one is probably the best otherwise you'll get a really annoying pop everytime you change track on the HU.
You'll also need fascia adapters and an antenna amp.

Personally never heard of them, but it looks like a useful unit for the money. Does it hav red illumination? It will clash a bit if it only has blue.
