Video on the Rns-e... Could it be as easy as this?

No that's pretty much it, simple video in is not difficult on the RNS-E, if it's a MK1 RNS-E you will of course need to do a VIM hack

Well no VIM hack exists for a MK2, so it would have to be done by hardware to remove the speed signal from the can bus.

To be honest, at this moment in time video in motion isn't too important for now. I just wondered if the sario above could work. Assuming by the first reply, then yes it will, I don't suppose anyone has fitted one of the multimedia adaptors before and has any instructions on the easiest route?

Thanks

They are pretty straight forward, 4 wires, +12v, gnd, CAN hi & lo all connected at the back of the nav unit and then plug in the grey connector, ony thing you might have to do is relocate the existing 3 wires in the 32 pin grey connector into the new one so AUX and VIDEO share the same 32 pin grey connector.
