I have just fitted a satnav to my 1998 A6 avant and it is awesome. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/woohoo.gif
Many people have asked if it can be done, and whats involved, well be prepared as it can cost a bit to convert /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
What I needed to do the conversion is as follows:-
Double din cage
climate control unit
ash tray unit
new trim for abs and hazard lights
sat nav unit (of course)
gps antenna and ariel (I think you only need ariel on avant models!!)
new wiring loom
cutting existing console
and use of VAG-com
Please bear this in mind if you are also thinking of doing the conversion!!! or you can get someone to do it for you /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
ps have old stereo and climate control unit for sale if interested pm me
