I have a 2002 A3 with standard stereo (Concert II I think) and was wondering what speakers I can upgrade to?

Any help will be appreciated.

Well I'm looking at spending around £100 to £200 for the door speakers. I just have no idea what to go for, and I'm looking for quality rather than pure dB.

Hi,

If you are wanting to upgrade and keep the standard head unit there is not much point in spending a fortune on the speakers as the head unit won't have the power to run them to their full potential!!

If you aren't planning to change the head unit i would go for a set of pioneer components, but if you intend on changing your head unit I would go for some rainbows, bostons or focal's, that have a bit more ability!!

I just upgraded my BOSE speakers to Alpine 171A components which sound great and fit with no clearance problems. Mine are amped but I'm sure they should also sound ok running off the concert. I paid £75 for mine from caraudiosecurity.com.
