Thread: iPod video on jvc car dvd player

Hi, just connected a jvc DVD player and i'm trying to watch videos from my iPod on it.
The manual says I need a special jvc cable.
I've tried with an iPod cable that's around 4 years old but it didn't work.
The iPod cable and the jvc cable look the same.
Is there something different about the cables or is it because my iPod cable is old( it plays videos from my iPod and iPhone 4 on my tv)
Basically, should an iPod cable work?
