CAN ANYONE HELP WITH IPOD INTERFACE/SYMPHONY II RADIO

Hi, hope someone can help, collected new TTR this week. I ordered the Sound Package which included ipod interface, Symphony II Radio with 6 cd front loading and Bose surround sound. - happy days or not. I find that ipod interface only charges the pod and does not show track names or artist etc on radio screen - only shows track number - how disappointing is this. Is there anything I can do the rectify this problem so that I can see whats playing. Please help. I unfortunately did not order an additional Aux socket I though the interface would have been the superior option (silly me).

Forgot to mention - a misbuild with the car. The factory did not install Bose surround system - oh dear!!

Only cheap option would be to replace the Ipod interface with a Dension gateway 100 CAN version, this would allow you to see track names in the DIS only, not the radio display, but would also allow full browsing of the Ipod through the MFSW.
