As this only has front speakers I am looking to add rear speakers.

Is this as simple as fitting speakers and plugging in? or do I need to install an audi amp & sub?

Thanks

Amp and sub, wiring and also a new radio (concert II+) to drive the rears. AFAIK the chorus can only drive front speakers.

You need the speakers, wiring & sub (as the amp to drive the rears is inside the sub). No Audi HU can drive the rears without an amp. They only have an internal amp for the fronts.

No what I mean by drive is that the chorus II+ cannot even support the amp, it doesn't have rear line levels either. So a concert II+ is required to feed the rear line levels to the amp.

How easy is the wiring, and would a CONCERT( EU AB2 MODEL NUMBER) work ok.

Wiring is not easy unless you have the entire rear/sub woofer loom. It needs to run from the boot to the HU and then you need to tie it into a 12v feed. Far easier to just install an aftermarket HU which can drive the rears directly.
