Can these be replaced with anything bigger/better? Don't want to go down fitted sub and amp in to boot road.

bose amp/sub upgrade

on the aftermarket side it will get expensive as, Im in the dilemma to, The bose is a very comfortable system with little distortion, They achieve this by the system not being loud enough.
The subwoofers seem like a 6 inch. Best possible replacement would be a JL Audio 6W3V3.
I have an 8W3V3 in a highoutput enclosure. It sounds amazing but i wont be fitting it in the a3 (Not yet anyway.
The problem is the bose amplifier wont run decent enough power to aftermarket components or subwoofers. Its one of those replace all or dont bother things.
You could fit everything how it is, go for a jl audio xd600/6 mount it where the bose amp is, get a custom enclosure to replace the bose subwoofer with a 8W3V3.
