Headunit Replacing Tape to CD

My 2000 Audi S3 has the standard tape headunit as pictured below. I would like change it to the CD headunit in the second picture. Do i need to change any wires? or will the standard connectors work?

Should be a straight swap, but you may find your 2000 model is not CANBUS controlled as they changed on the 2000 plate. In which case the Concert II will turn off after an hour as they are all CANBUS models.
If you remove the power from the tape player, then plug it back in, if it then says SAFE when you turn it on it is not CANBUS, if it just works then it is CANBUS. Or you can look at the power connector and see if it has a yellow with redstripe wire (switched live) (non CANBUS) or just the red with white stripe (perm live)= CANBUS.

Not sure what you mean mate ive just removed my headunit and im looking to change it to the cd one shown below.... i still can use the cd changer etc?
