Hi
Just purchased an s3 with concert, bose and cd changer.
I am not really impressed with the sound (unlike everything else with the car), so want to replace the head unit etc (andy mac sub seems a populuar choice - anybody near glasgow got one?)

What i was wondering was, does anyone have a DVD capable headunit which can play mp3's? Sound quality/reliability is important so i'd be happier to stick to known manufacturers.

The other option is to use a Keg or something with a new headunit.

I have a Denon DCA-800 which i'll probably utilise unless the headunit has enough power.

Any recommendations?

Thanks and merry xmas

Ian

Hi Ian,

I'm interested in buying a Concert stereo, any chance you selling it? If so is it the Concert 2 (CD Player)?
Cheers.

Hi Rich

Sorry its a cassette deck head unit with 6 cd changer in boot.
To be honest, i think it sounds good for a factory fit stereo.
I'm just looking to replace it because i have 40gb's of mp3's (hence my question above) and the bass sounds like somebody has fitted one of those peco exhausts - a dull rumbling in the backgrou d - no definition, very wooly sounding. I'm hoping to meet up with some of the guys in Scotland to see what they have in terms of stereo's. I'm hoping one of them has Andy Mac Sub.
Good luck with finding a concert 2
Cheers
Ian
