Aftermarket head unit!

Hi,
Have just fitted Aftermarket head unit in my a4 b6! all is ok apart from a buzzing noise coming through the back speakers!

Any ideas?

Has the car got a fully amped system from bose ? And how old is the headunit ?

It had the concert system, so dont think its fully amped, but there is a amp in the boot! its a few years old! jvc exad! sounds alot better but just have this noise!

No you don't have Bose. You have just used the wrong adapter to link into the rear/sub amp. You have used the PC9-401 speaker input adapter. This uses a really cheap & nasty high to lo converter to take the speaker outputs of the JVC down to line livel in order to feed the audi rear amp. This always introduces alternator whine and buzzing as the components are shyte. You need to use the PC9-404 RCA input adapter, but obviously ensure you have rear pre-outs (RCA's) on the JVC first

Or just bypass the amp completely and run a fresh set of speaker wires from the deck to the rear speakers
