If nothing noticeable it's worth considering it could be your water-pump - mine was leaking but I could never find a leak as such anywhere, but when my cambelt and water pump was changed - problem solved!

I thought it could be the water pump but i had it changed with the cambelt just over 2 years ago, its just out of audi warranty I'll get it checked and see, if its the water pump audi can fix it the car has only done 10,000 miles since it was changed. Thanks for the advice.

Sorry about the delay - for some reason the motortrade is usally quiet in Nov and Dec but its just totally manic at the moment!!! Not getting a monent to myself!! :P
