Engine Code on 2010 A4 2.0 TDI

Hi
Please could someone confirm the engine code (3 digits stamped onto the block) for a 2.0 tdi A4 on a 10 plate with 143ps?

I have a colleague who has just bought one of these but the log book says 124ps instead of 143 and he needs to know if he has been missold.

I dont have a 2.0 TDi mate, so i can not help you with the number, but as far as i know the 2.0TDi only comes in 120, 136, 143 and 170 flavours.....

Have a look in the boot in the spare wheel well or in the service book you will find a white sticker with lots of codes on this is the extrasand equipment on the car,on this sticker should be a KW rating,if its a 143 it will have 105kw not sure what the 120 is but my old 130bhp B6 was a 96kw so i would say it will be lower than that.Hope this helps

according to my tdi manual, 120bhp is 88kw, 143bhp is 105kw, and 170bhp is 125kw.And if he wants to double check his option codes on the sticker(trim, colour etc that are in the form of eg:3l3,u1b 4x3 etc)....check them here:

The stickers in the car and service book should obviously match.Item P.2 on the registration document also shows the max net power in KW
