Manual gear box creaks in 4th & 6th!

hey folks, anyone out there with the manual gear box experiencing creaking from around/beneath the gaitor when in 4th/6th (& a little in 2nd) gear! Drivin' me potty! Not had time to get it into Tetbury Audi yet!

Also, in the recent hot days, any experienced the clutch pedal creaking if the car has been left for ages in the sun and heated up inside!??

Interested to know!

Not creaking, no, but ive got too much play in the gate when in first and second, and having difficulty selecting second.
