I have an Audi A4 avant 2.0 tdi 170. While taking a trip on Friday I got stuck in a que of traffic on a hilly section going north of York. When it became my turn to pass a broken down vehicle I couldn't get the clutch to work, the car juddered and eventually got me up the hill slipping and stinking, I then noticed the clutch pedal hadn't come all the way up and pulled it up with my foot. I drove gently for the rest of the trip (about 20 miles then parked up for 2 days) I noticed on hard acceleration it slipping so drove gently the 100 miles home. The question is is this common? as I would like to go to the dealers with some ammunition if possible.

Not common unless you've had the car re-mapped to somewhere around 200 BHP.

If its a standard car then your just un-lucky and its one of those things that happens. Mine has done 21k with no issues at all.

Car is all standard, will get it in the dealers on Tuesday.
