Tyres audi a4 225/50/17

I have Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric tyres on my A4 B8 . Went for a slightly different size on my 17 inch wheels as they don't do the eagle F1 on 225 / 50 /17 sizes.
I fitted 235 / 45 /17 tyres to mine which are a little wider slightly lower profile and about 2% smaller which makes no difference really to the speedo accuracy. They are a lot more common size tyre, so cheaper than the 225 / 50 /17 and you can get a wider range of tyres in that size.I replaced all 4 in one go as I intend to keep the car for several years it will save money every time the car needs new tyres.

If you are sticking to the 225 /50/17 then the Uniroyal Rainsport 3's get a good write up.

I had conti contact 3 on my S4. Not the worst but not the best for me. Now running Goodyear eagle F1 Assy 2 in 255/35/19. Excellent option.

Agreed Contact 3's are not the best for me either, i have rainsport 3's on the back now, and cant wait to get a set up front ready for winter. Contacts have a tramlining issue for me, might be down to a 3litre 204ps 2WD option with 255/35/19's

Anyone any ideas about this?
