Silver surround around dials etc

Preferences


We love the interior of our new A4 Avant BE but the silver trim around the dials, screen etc seems a little out of place and plastic looking... Is there an upgrade available or a retrofit dash kit, maybe carbon?

I agree, not a big fan of the silver - You could always change the dash trim to the OEM black, like below:-

Hi Keef, yes that's me! We just bought the A4 and awaiting delivery of an A5 Looks like from your avatar we may have the same colour A4... Monza?

That trim looks interesting... Ours is a 2011 BE and has the silver....

It was the first thing I sorted when i got my b8. Horrid silver, so out it came (easily done) and took it to a paintshop and had it matched to the rest of the dash.

A5BlackEd - mine is Quartz Grey and is also a 2011 black edition with silver dash.
You could always try and find a silver one on fleabay, then get it sprayed and swap it.

It is a matt finish...i found that the original silver finish caught too much light. I had a detailing mate (impressions meriden coventry) get his paint man to spray it. I have a spare set that i ******** about with, and sprayed it myself with some plastidip from b&q.Came out ok, but i dont have a dust free facility. Had it sprayed by another bodyshop phantom black pearl, but it didnt look right, so i left the matt ones in.

Other half is happy for me to have a go and change these on what she refers to as 'my new toy' Just need to find a set to get repaired... Thinking glass black to match the interior trim but we will see....
